I know it's been awhile...

In the last post a said that I would be posting fall decor pics soon, well better late than never I guess. :-)

This past weekend we had so much fun!! Addison really enjoyed herself. Friday, she had a party at her school...

... and Saturday was our BIG day. We started the evening off at our church's HallelujahFestival, then headed to FBC Ardmore's Trunk or Treat, and a couple of our friends' homes. Here is our little Rag Doll! :-)

CATCHING UP...

This past weekend was WONDERFUL!... and this fall weather is AMAZING! I am so grateful for where God has placed us!--- a good area and wonderful friends!
My plan Saturday was to get caught up on housework... needless to say, that didn't happen. :-) Saturday was too beautiful to stay inside. Addison and I just had to get outside and play! I love GIRL days!---Adam had made a trip to the Fiddler's Festival in Athens with Austin, so we had all afternoon together.

Catching up with Addison...
She is growing so fast! Her new favorite thing to say is, "awesome".
If you ask her if she wants something or go somewhere she replies with, "I guess so".
She always picks the same book out for our bedtime reading--- and now when we lay down in her bed to read she'll look at me and say "my turn to read". She has memorized the entire book by the pictures! :-)

This past Sunday night Addison's Mission Friends class had a carnival themed party. She had so much fun!!... she got her first 'tattoo'. :-) Addison has never liked stickers on her hand and has never wanted a 'tattoo' on her hand either, but Sunday night she decided she would try---and she was so proud of it!! She walked around the rest of the night showing everyone her lion!

This week we are in preparation of a couple of VERY SPECIAL vistiors (Meredith & Gregg)... and like always I disucss with Addison most of everything that will be going on. Last night she and I were talking in her playroom, and I mentioned again that MeMe and Uncle Gregg would be visiting us this weekend. I told her that Saturday me and MeMe, and Daddy and Uncle Gregg had big people plans... and her response was, "No, that's my Gregg!" :-) So cute!! I believe she's ready to see her Uncle Gregg. :-)

I've also been doing a little fall decorating... with some really good help from Adam---I'll post pictures soon.

WEEKEND UPDATE...

My parents visited us this weekend, and we had a wonderful time!
Friday, Adam and I both had to work so my parents took Addison to the park and by Sonic for ice cream. I think Dad even went down the slides with her... I'm sure she loved it. Friday evening they and Adam met me in Huntsville at Red Lobster for supper... yum! It was my parents anniversary and they took us out!! How awesome is that! :-)
Saturday, Mom and I did some wonderful consignment shopping while the guys stayed home to watch the football games. ROLL TIDE!! and WAR EAGLE, for Adam!

PLANTS FOR BRAYDEN AND KENADI...

After B&K's funeral, Meredith gave us a peace lily to take home. The plant was getting root bound and needed to be repotted, so that was tonight's little project... we made Brayden and Kenadi plants :-)

THIS WEEKEND...

This weekend I stood in amazement at how much our little girl has grown! I often find myself just staring at her while she plays... and listening to her talk to her baby dolls... and I think how amazing she really is, and how wonderful that God chose to give her to me!
Some of Addison's 'little things'...
-every child that she sees is her friend!
-no one is a stranger
-she loves to copy situations and people
-when tired or in trouble, she now wants her Nana, Pop, Nannie, or Poppy! :-)
-she wants a baby in her belly like MeMe
-no matter who comes to our house, she always asks them "You wanna play with me?"
-she likes to pretend that she's a dog... I think she picked that up from cousin Brennon :-)

-she thinks every watermelon comes from Mr. Ken
-she likes to shop... When we are looking thru clothes racks at the store, she's say "this is cute"!
-she has a natural softball swing! :-)
-when you pick her up from class, she always says, "I'm happy to see you!"
-and every night before I lay her down for bed she always says "one minute"---wanting me to pat her just one minute after we read and say our prayers.

LAST NIGHT WAS A LITTLE HARD...

Last night we attended the visitiation service of one of our church members at the funeral home. Addison was very well behaved! I was very proud of her as we waited in line to speak with the family.
When we made it close to the front she said, "I want to see Brayden and Kenadi"... it broke my heart! Adam and I explained that Brayden and Kenadi wasn't there. And she said, "They in heaven with Jesus?" And I said yes ma'am. Then she began talking about the things she remembers seeing at the funeral service for B&K...
Last night as I a laid in bed with her--when we had finished our book and said our prayers--we were talking... and I always say, "How much does Mommy love you?" and we hold our arms out and say "bunches and bunches"; "How much does Daddy love you?" and we hold our arms out and say "bunches and bunches"; "How much does Jesus love you?" and we hold our arms out and say "bunches and bunches"... I guess she remembered us talking about Brayden and Kenadi being with Jesus again because as I said goodnight she waved, and said good night to Brayden and Kenadi too. --I JUST LOVE HER HEART! THANK YOU GOD FOR SUCH A WONDERFUL BLESSING!
Adam had commented earlier on our way home after recalling all the events at B&K's funeral that she would probably have a memory like her Aunt MeMe (b/c Meredith remembers everything).. I PRAY SHE DOES!! I pray she remembers all the wonderful times she had with Brayden and Kenadi!!

CHANGES TO OUR FAMILY...

Since July 29, 2009 God has brought about many changes in our lives.
Our wonderful niece and nephew, Kenadi and Brayden Ramer, now live with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. This has been the hardest change in our lives thus far... we thank God for the wonderful memories that we have with them, and will cherish them forever!

We ask that you continue to pray for Meredith and Gregg, and our family!

Adam's grandfather has been diagnosed with prostate cancer... He will begin a type of radiation treatment soon.

I am no longer a SAHM. I started back to work in August at an accounting office in Huntsville. I LOVE IT!... don't get me wrong though, I loved being home with Addison but she needed this change more than I did. She's attending Wee Care at FBC in Ardmore, and she's blossoming every day! :-)
